Our Side Is An Ocean

fielding re-enters the musical stage with their 6-song EP titled 'Our Side Is An Ocean.'
Written over the past few years, these songs explore trails of discourse in human nature and relationship.
Produced by Bobby Hartry, for CatBeach Music, 'Our Side' is a blend of straight forward acoustic guitar and piano with distorted and dissonant guitars and textures. You can hear Eric's earlier influences, such as Nada Surf, coming back around to create a more aggressive sound to support the introspective lyrical content.

'Our Side' is already finding an enthused audience, with placements on various TV shows, including American Idol and The Winner Is.  


The Voice of Us

This 12-song album pays a bittersweet homage, both visually and lyrically, to Eric's maternal grandmother, the late Wilda McGaha. It is her stunning image that graces the album’s cover.

One can feel her independent pioneering spirit especially on the opening track “102," with sweeping string and vocal arrangements. The first piece sets the tone for a masterful collection of 12 songs, telling real life stories - simple songs with heavy themes, yet glimmers of hope.

"The Voice Of Us" was recorded in Long Beach and produced by Ben West (Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Pink) and Kristopher Pooley (musical director for Gwen Stefani, Morrissey, Liz Phair).
